With a growing demand to reduce costs, improve efficiency, manage fuel and reduce emissions in the maritime sector Royston, diesel power specialists, have appointed Krasny Defence Technologies as its new partner for enginei Electronic Fuel Monitoring System (EFMS) and Vessel Energy Management (VEM) solution in India.
The Defence Equipment specialist, with service centres in Mumbai, Goa, Karwar, Kochi and Visakhapatnam, have worked in the industry for over 25 years, providing support and refits encompassing hull, engineering, electrical, electronics together with installation and commissioning of equipment and systems onboard ships and submarines.
Krasny will be responsible for providing sales and aftermarket technical support for enginei to the marine sector operating in and around India.
enginei uses Coriolis flow meters and sensors to accurately monitor the fuel being consumed by each of a vessel’s engine, which is tracked against independent GPS data, voyage details and operational mode. The data is collected, processed, and relayed to bridge and engine control room mounted HMI to enable the ship’s Captain to take decisive actions needed to reduce fuel consumption and therefore emissions.
As an integral part of the system, sophisticated data acquisition software utilizes a broad range of fuel, engine performance and voyage data to be made available via for crucial fuel analysis, emissions control and performance optimization decisions.
Royston and Krasny both have vast knowledge and experience with marine vessels and monitoring systems. Through the strong relationships within the industry, the strategy is to leverage on combined expertise and technical skills to secure additional market share and sector reach with continuous engagements.
