enginei is a simple but incredibly effective marine fuel consumption monitoring solution which allows shore based staff to access and manage fuel consumption remotely.  enginei's bridge displays give the crew of the ship information such as fuel usage and optimal throttle settings to improve the fuel efficiency of the ship and take ownership of the amount of fuel they are consuming and how they operate the vessel.

By acquiring real time fuel consumption data through fuel flow meters on the supply and return lines of each engine, the data is stored in an on board data logger and combined with the vessels GPS speed over ground calculations and determines the most efficient running speeds and real time fuel consumption.

enginei remote monitoring

Through the remote monitoring via the online dashboard, shore based technical staff are able to see a snapshot of fuel data across the fleet.  The system can overlay fuel consumption onto a mapping platform to compare fuel consumption with speed.  Operators can then investigate and implement ways of conserving ship fuel.

enginei can be fitted to any existing engine of any size and any fuel type including MDO, MGO IFO180, IFO380 and IFO500. The fuel flow meters are extremely robust and reliable, and the system has been designed from the start for the harsh marine environment.

Owners and operators can use the vessel tracking capability of the enginei website to monitor the position of their ships with Google Earth, and to monitor ship speed and fuel consumption in almost real time.

Installing ship fuel consumption monitoring equipment such as enginei, and using the data to reduce fuel consumption will enable ship owners to reduce the carbon footprint of the vessel and the energy efficiency design index ( eedi ).
